I really enjoyed Pedrosa's prose. The shift of POV from the young and ambitious Ferdinand Marcos to the laidback and old Vicente Orestes (Imelda's father) when the latter heard about the whirlwind romance that led to the instant wedding. The contrast that Pedrosa created during the shift made me want to go to the bookstore and buy all of Pedrosa's books (if there are).
