Some of the idiosyncrasies they note as being wretched are parts that I’ve enjoyed, it doesn’t “make me sick” when there is redundancy, purple prose, etc. sometimes it strengthens what the writer is expressing.

Excessive sexual referencing in a book for “study” and knock an author favorite, Stephanie Meyer? I think not.
I do enjoy the author’s sense of humor.
