Woof, this is off to a rough start. I am on story #2 only to come across the phrase “sits Indian style” again. What is happening? It’s not long so I’m going to read more. It is middling realist prose, but I am low key mortified as I’m reading this. This appropriation of indigenous culture is so bad it’s not even trying.
