In EVERY SINGLE BOOK so far, one of the characters has made a point to mention that he’s from Nevada where it never snows.
I live here. It snows in a lot of places. Out my window I can see Mt Charleston covered in snow 9 months out of the year.
One Google search and this author would have learned that Reno gets several feet of snow each winter.
