Interesting - talking about the first year of Gorbachev's rein after the deaths of Andropov and Chernenko. Yeltsin is brought into Moscow to try to clean up the city and get it productive. Factory production had fallen tremendously and Moscow had to bring in many temporary workers to do the worst jobs. These people were like indentured servants - if they left they jobs, they lost their temporary residence permit.
