Into the home stretch of audiobook proofing. I'm loving this.

You know, it's funny - I'd never listened to a single audiobook before Michael Ferraiuolo sent back that first chapter of Caged, so long ago. Now? Now, I like audiobooks a lot, and I've bought quite a few. A good narrator brings something new to a book that's... theatrical. Something I enjoy.

Ah... memories. I wrote this book based on stuff in my life, but one of the contributions was that a band I know was refused access to a US venue (after they paid) because they were too "problematic" (ie - openly queer). The band decided to tour the US anyway, and their van was burned, equipment stolen, and a whole bunch of anti-gay slurs were spray-painted around it. This was three weeks after the 2016 election.

I love these two together. I can't wait to upload the audiobook.

This is already a very personal book for me. Hearing Dan narrate it is... emotional.

Re-read it over the past two days to make notes for Dan Calley who is narrating it - the man works fast, I’ve already got 4 chapters to proof!
