I liked the mysterious black cat element to the book, however, it didn't save the book. I liked the characters but I wasn't crazy about them. I did like the fact that Duke had no recollection of who is was or what kind of person he was in the past and needed Liza to help him find out what happened. He did have just a small memory of her and nothing else, meaning, to me, that she was a very important part of his life.

It's very slow going. I've been so busy, I barely have time to read a page or two. I like black cats. They're 1 of my favorites. But the story's dragging for me a little.
