This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I've read it multiple times over the last 7 years, and I love it more every single time.

I appreciate how this and the sequel didn't present love as a bed of roses. It painted a real picture; roses with thorns. But the point is, the roses exist.

The essence of community portrayed deserves applause too. Friendships were a core part of this book.
