I don't love her storytelling style but I'm sticking with it because she's funny. As a young Australian backpacker she vows never to return to India after her post University trip. Then 10 years later returns to be with her fiancée who is a journalist stationed in Delhi. She tries to describe her experiences and her spiritual searching but she doesn't really develop any other characters in the book except herself. If you've spent any time in India - it's all about the people. There are amazing characters everywhere that can help you tell your story.
