I'm half way through and struggling with whether to finish or abandon it.
The language, writing, even the child's advanced words didn't phase me - at least at first.
As the middle drags on, it's yet another irritant.
The narcissistic parents now feel like caricatures. The 12-year-old protag spouts off about everything except her nightmare/secret.
I'm struggling to find anything that might keep me engaged.
