At this point, I'm just seeing flashes and summaries of the early history of religious monotheism. I don't think he gets the gradual emergence of language and doctrine, and simply assumes it within his theory of politico-morphism as a dominant force. This needs to be supplemented with a wide variety of historical studies on Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.
