but the reality is that the world is a dangerous place! We shouldn’t have to worry about how we dress and where we walk and who we are with and all that jazz, we should have all the right and freedom in the world to go where we want and to dress how we want, shoulda woulda coulda, but that’s not the reality! So knowing the reality that the world can be a dangerous place and that stranger danger is real, people, or victims, should be responsible enough not to tempt danger by doing stupid shit and doing things that will potentially put them in harm’s way! You can’t throw chum all over yourself, jump into shark infested waters, and be surprised that you get eaten! Does a victim deserve to get victimized? Absolutely not, never ever ever! However, should you put your well-being in the hands of a potentially psychotic individual? Absolutely not! Yes you have the right to assume you are safe, but again that’s not the reality of the world today, and you need to be responsible by trying to keep yourself out of harm’s way as much as possible! So that means a girl shouldn’t walk naked into a pack of questionable men and a person shouldn’t be walking in the dark deserted road all by himself in the middle of the night, because criminals do exist and while the victim doesn’t deserve it, if you act like a fucking idiot and you make stupid decisions, you’re kind of asking for it! Do you deserve what happened to you? No but should you be surprised that it happened to you if you make stupid decisions putting you in the path of danger? Also absolutely not! So let’s fucking be honest enough with this “stop blaming the victim” bullshit! Sometimes it is your responsibility to make sure you are not in harm’s way and if you stupidly or intentionally or ignorantly put yourself in harms way, refusing to look at the signs for your own safety, and you disregard common sense or safety procedure,then you get what’s coming to you if you happen to be in the line of fire! It’s like someone who knows that sticking their hand in fire is going to be dangerous and painful but does it anyway … The lesson is yours to learn and if you do that intentionally, don’t be surprised, and yes some of the blame and fault does lie in the victim, because you have a responsibility to yourself to keep yourself as safe as possible and when you disregard that, yeah part of it is your fault and don’t be surprised when you’ve been put in a position to learn your lesson!! I’m sick and tired of people disregarding responsibility because it’s not politically correct to question why the victim was a victim in the first place! If you can do yourself a favour to avoid being in danger and you disregard those steps, then you are making yourself the victim! I’m sick and tired of the world being a world where feelings are more important than logic and facts! So shut the fuck up with that bullshit!!
If you’re walking down a deep dark alley in a bad neighborhood in the middle of the night, knowing there are criminals around you, but you walk alone anyway, then don’t be fucking surprise you’re a victim, and yes it is your fucking fault! While you do not deserve to be victimized at all in anyway shape or form whatsoever, absolutely not, knowing the risks, you still did put yourself in that position and so therefore you are partially to blame! It’s not “blaming a victim” it’s fucking common sense, so again let’s shut the fuck up about that bullshit already and put accountability where accountability is deserved!! Should that be how the world is, no, but is that the way the world is, yes, so we need to adapt ourselves to how things are, that’s just common sense, and that’s just reality! So again, when people like this author who say “don’t blame the victim” when it’s absolutely fucking ridiculous to say so and completely negates everything that statement actually stands for (as people like this author take it out of its ACTUAL relevant context), then that’s where we need to go “shut the fuck up about that bullshit”!! Anyway that’s all I have to say, that’s all I’m GOING to say, and with this I am completely and absolutely done!!!
