Such an intricate game. So full of intelligent cunning and grace. But Connor Rappaport proves to be a tricky fox.

Devyn is a force to be reckoned with. A strong female lead, intelligent and cunning as she is ruthless and exotically gorgeous.

Chapter one was certainly action-packed with a hostile takeover or the organization. We got to meet each founding member, two of which are family by both blood and soul. The other five members refused, and that was when the action truly began.

This author has a way of weaving their story that is as hypnotic as it is tantalizing.

Damn. That was quick but intense. The prologue held within it the history of the city, the Botox act and common ground rules set for by the ruling crime syndicates to create one governing body to command the criminal underworld of the city. That the pact and commandments still stand after sixty-three years is a testament to its effectiveness.

With just two paragraphs, this author weaves a delicate web of intrigue and atmosphere, casting a spell over the reader and drawing them in deeper, like a siren beckoning a sailor.

I like this opening quote. The words are profound and oh so true.
