Scarlett suggested that I could also be looking for fractal-nature. I also tend to note when I can guess who is narrating, but not always.

I didn't have anything new to read just now, so I figured why not? So far it seems my goal this time through is to notice the various missed guesses about future technology.

Someone should code a different version of the "progress" thing for this to account for the footnotes.
