Sometimes reading too deeply into a work of art can ruin it but so far I am gaining newfound appreciation for this Studio Ghibli masterpiece. This book amalgamates the analysis of a range of experts on the themes portrayed in PM including of course the destruction of nature by humankind. I also liked how Lady Eboshi’s moral compass is explored; while she provides work for the socially rejected, she destroys nature
