What a strange piece of writing! Not a biography, as advertised on the back side, rather a collection of facts, missing the story one would expect. Gideon’s wife is only mentioned when first meeting, marrying and leaving him. So much for the biography. Also, hardly any mention of the intense relationship with Richard Owen.
When you look for facts, this is your book; for a biographical page turner look elsewhere...
