I have no words to describe what I felt after the trial... I really had hope. Atticus' speech at the end was really moving, but to think that it is still relevant today, to think that such a trial in 2020 would most likely have the same result... ugh

After literal YEARS AND YEARS of trying to read this book, avoiding the movie and anything related to it, and yet getting bored right before page 5, I finally managed to give it a proper shot. I forced myself to go "at least past page 20 to see what the fuss is about". And wow, what writing! I'm truly amazed at how Harper Lee is builds this 'world' with so many characters throughout the lens of such a charismaticone
