around here it starts getting really dark, violent and disturbing complete with all the torture, rape, looting etc that one can expect from a realistically done post-apocalyptic story - just like the rest of the story prefigures the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone so does some of this feel like a preview of the horrors of the Syrian Civil War now that I think of it

here things really start kicking into gear - the FreakAngels enlisting the help of "normal people" to barricade their enclave against an impending outside attack, a lot of this stuff feels straight out of the news coverage of Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle earlier this year to be exact
