Wheatley has this terrible habit of deus ex machinas that wrap up the climax in about two pages. It’s really disappointing. What is also disappointing is the horribly opinionated political jargon that was injected into this book. Black Power is Satan’s doing, so clever. Fuck off. I’m glad I’m done reading these books, I’d never pick up another in all honesty.

It’s actually quite eerie the situations that Richard describes will happen if ‘equal rights’ are achieved through Black Power, will result in riots and such. Quite foreboding considering the current climate. Just thought that was creepy. That being said, Richard is a bigoted prick. He can fucking die for all I care.

Oh boy. Richard is definitely Wheatleys inner voice coming out to show his disdain for people of color, calling Nella, an activist in the Black Power movement, ‘a woolly-minded Liberal.’ Fuck. Me. Yeah, fuck progress, prejudice is the natural state, just leave it be. It’s tradition! Conservatives and their traditions. Fuck off. Rant over.

The beginning is quite interesting with Rex running off for unknown reasons. Then there is the demon Sabbat orgy which is pretty typical of Wheatley. And his backward ass political views and prejudiced opinions on race and the Black Power movement. Not bad or good thus far, but racism certainly doesn’t help any. Also on a side note, Richard is a complete bastard to the poor woman who just fled from a Sabbat.
