So I’m 75% through this book and I’m not sure why there’s so much hype.
Normal People is very much a young adult book; it’s interesting, and colourful, but it’s lacking in a certain depth I’ve come to expect from my reads these days. The writing is good, and relatable; the characters well construed, dimensional but somehow, it’s all just lacking for me. It’s a literary equivalent to BBCs Love Island.
