I like the atmosphere of danger, we know something bad will happen, but for now it's just growng tension.
And hockey. If you don't like this sport, it can be tough to read ;) I don't think I ever watched more than 5 minutes of a hockey game but for some reason I read a few books with hockey in them and have no problem with this discipline at all.
