Look who finally finished Chapter 9 and it’s 100 footnotes :)

Listen I was on page 130 or something when I started reading tonight and it looks like I made no progress but I did follow a footnote maze for a solid 45 minutes so I actually read a ton tonight

I’m enjoying the book but I’m reminded of why I started losing steam right about here last time I read it: Derrida. Yes, I did have to look up an explanation of deconstructionist theory. It’s been a while since my literary criticism class.

I love me some non-linear storytelling

Technically I have read over 120 pages of this book because the footnotes send you all over the place.

I’m more optimistic about finishing this book this time around. Johnny always used to bother me a lot but he’s grown on me.
