Ms. Harrison creates a slow building but compelling atmosphere in this dark story of a girl coming to terms with a shattered dream of marriage and her frozen inner self, all of which combine in the setting of the owl-haunted manor house of her family. The author's masterful black-and-white original graphics really add to the "grab". Those who like the thoughtful atmospherics of "Jane Eyre" and "Wuthering Heights" should give it a go!
