A point of suspenese in my reading today was when they were in battle. The author discribes vivid verbs in this text. An example that shows this is, "...Burford's men were making their way through a sparse wood when the British, yeling like banshees, suddenly attacked."This shows vived verbs, because it brings the book to life, to like where the readers got a feel like what is was like in war.

On the battle of Stony point, it talks about how the hudson river was the most important water way in the American Revolutionary war. And this battle takes place on the hudson river. What sums up this battle is that George Washington came up with his own idea for striking the british. By going up stony point they could get the british at a suprises attack.

A quote that stood out to me was, "No pay! No Clothes! No Provisions! No Rum!" This stood out to me, because since they weren't getting any of that, about 2,500 people died from expouser and malnutrition and diease. And if they would've gave the people this they more than likely wouldn't have died.
