All the Gerard stuff was great and I hope we get him and Ismae in the final book, and he gets the redemption arc he so deserves in book five. also destroy Selena, and give him his happy ending, that would be nice. But Tavia is so ugh, the second half of the book she just was so obnoxious, and I think this was the worst book in the series. The action in the end was good, but a hard 1 to get through tbh.

Glad the rest of the cast got here cuz tavia and Ferdinand were getting on my nerves. Tavia was such a cool character in the previous books, so her being kinda lame when it's her book is disappointing and her love interest is so bland. Not terrible to read, but obvs just filler until the final book comes out to fill in story and world building gaps, story could've been better but the end may be worth it, we'll see

Tor is a great character and I like seeing the viking kingdom after it being mentioned so much in previous books. Tavia's story arc is interesting, though a bit heavy-handed, and I like seeing her travel story and hearing about Selena and Gerard's backstory. I hope Tavia can save Gerard and stop Selena though, it's going to be an interesting climax considering the world building set up so far!

I always liked Tavia in the other stories, so it was nice to see her get her own story. Seeing more of her inner workings is fun, and Ferdinand is a nice love interest for her. Like that she has a plan, hope it works so she can save best boy Gerard! He'll always be my fav character in this series.
