Finished newer version of The Guermontes Way, along with addendum and Proust’s synopsis of volume. Now will return to this original translation.

Working my way through the newer translation and this.

I love this book! And I am so grateful that Proust existed. This part about the narrator’s grandmother is so moving. So now I am at the end of part one of The Guermomtes Way. I have been reading it in a newer translation and occasionally comparing it with this one.
Now I will take a break and read a Donna Leon and a TBE book club book.

Completed Within a Budding Grove for the third time.

Mainly reading the newer translation but flipping to this one to update progress. Really enjoying his descriptions - beautiful images of environment, searing portrayals of people.
