One of the first fresh and new perspectives on environmentalism I've read in a long time. It's kind of wearing thin by this point in the book, though, his initial insights being subsumed by rather obvious platitudes and replacing the self-evident values he's critiquing with self-evident concepts of his own. I don't get the "shame" thing at all yet.
