Sergeant Emily Stokely's story raises an important issue most service women don't talk about openly - can one be feminine and still maintain a military bearing? What are the unspoken rules? Is there a proper balance question mation mark does womanliness interfere with respect and professionalism? These are questions outside the realm of military regulations that govern lipstick shades and nail length.

Why the disparity in divorce rate? I can only surmise, but military women are outside the norm for traditional gender roles, and the societal pressures placed on them as mothers and wives could be a factor, along with demanding jobs and the stress of deployments and other separations.

PTSD is one of the top medical reasons women veterans seek care at the VA, yet how PTSD affects women and can be best treated is still being studied.

1 and 5 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans – both men and women that have PTSD, though women with combat related PTSD are relatively new area of study, with the potential to benefit from diagnosis and treatment. According to various studies, civilian and Military women's PTSD is often connected to sexual trauma. Moon with PTSD have more depression than men, while men have more anger issues and alcohol addiction.

Good luck, she always thought. Running was Candince's secret weapon.

It wasn't something most Marines could have brought up, but women Marines police their own , since the reputations of all of them are on the line.
