I hope you enjoy this, Karina. I remember there being a waiting list for this one in my middle school library when it was first published. I was a student librarian and the list for this book and a couple of others never seemed to get any shorter.

Did you enjoy reading this Ann-Marie? It’s so innocent and picturesque
To be honest, Karina, it really says a lot about this book that I have remembered it fondly for over 50 years. I have read probably hundreds of thousands of books since then. I remember the special ones. "Christy," "My Side of the Mountain," "Harriet the Spy," the Lenora Mattingly Weber novels, and one about a family of Scandinavian orphaned siblings who survived the Great Children's Blizzard are the ones I remember best from my time as a student librarian.
A-M, I am LOVING this. So special
