I am so happy I pushed through some of the slower moving parts because of my goodness. I didn’t think Louis and Lestat could get any cuter, but I now want an entire book of them just living domestic lives together.

It was slowing down for a while, but it’s starting to pick up again. And now I’m just waiting for the fall out from Lestat revealing himself tbh.

No! Not best boy 😭 But the more I get through, the more I love Lestat. Knowing his history is making me appreciate his role in the first book more.

Lestat is officially my favorite vampire. He was forced to become a vampire while begging ‘no’, and now his entire arc is just screwing over the vampire world and not caring about their rules. Good for him.
Also the fact he’s breaking the rule on not telling mortals about vampires on purpose to help protect Louis after Louis threw him under the bus... what a guy.

Lestat is officially my favorite vampire. Flawed and fabulously dramatic.

I loved the first book and didn’t know how true it was when people said this one is better. But oh man, is it. Maybe because it’s more fun hearing from a deeply flawed but likable and charismatic character. It helps that there’s more action in this one and the romantic kind of language from the first book isn’t as present because Lestat has a different view of things than Louis. It’s hard putting it down!
