A lot of reviews complain about the stereotyping but that's what the book is about... Making fun of stereotypes and how Greg sees himself as a man's man etc.

It's not misogynistic, racist or homophobic. The author simply brings those attribute into the light, and he definitely shows us that a lot of people don't enjoy being heavy and how badly they are treated. Albeit with some humor thrown in.
