This is a weird book, clearly not meant for those who expect to find the Sci-Fi; Thriller; and/or Terror elements you will find in other works from the Alien franchise. Despite providing some extra information about the characters and events prior to the space mission, "Alien Covenant: Origins" does not add anything relevant to the "Alien Covenant (book/film)" storyline or to the character-archs of its characters.
