After the passage that was posted around during the RWA debacle at the end of last year, I crossed him off my list. I've only read one fairly nonsensical short story of his in an anthology.

Oh, I must have missed it. What happened? I think you just convinced me to DNF even without the explanation.
Just looked it up. Yes, this is a DNF. Thanks for the head up. He is now crossed off my list as well.
Sorry, just saw this. Yeah, I figured you must have missed all that. But it's good to know that without context it's still not worth it.
