I very much know and understand the feeling of wanting to do a million different things (write a book, learn a different language...) but not finding the motivation to do them, to postpone them. And as Esther, I know extremely well what I do not want to do (be a waitress or a typist) and the feeling of not being ready, prepared or smart enough.
