A social worker or psychiatrist would never, ever label a child making sexual assault allegations an attention-seeking liar. It would never, never happen. Jody's horrific childhood abuse is only a subplot to give her a more tragic than usual backstory, and to get facts wrong on top of that is really quite gross.
