Re-reading this after 30 years, and I'm amazed at how well it holds up in our CGI-generated violence-porn video culture.
The stories themselves are as imaginative as anything done since, but this go around, I am really appreciating the quality of Barker's writing, both in the story-telling and the prose itself.
