With this being the first issue out of three there was a lot of world building that was done. Especially in the way it connects the characters of Barbara and Jason to this world. It has a lot of great callbacks to classic Batman stories and through their set up for the crimes they establish the paradigm of the three jokers very well. I look forward to the progression of this story since they left it at a cliffhanger
