While I’m mostly enjoying this series, I just had to stop with a note because there is something that the author is doing that is driving me to distraction. She keeps using the word “for”. Like old English would say....for I have been born, or, for I truly would be lost without her, or, for this was what love did to you.....

It’s distracting especially from a modern day character.
