I really enjoyed The Girl at the Lion D’Or and believed this was second in a trilogy but it seemed to bear no relation to the first except from being set in the same time period. I didn’t get in to it or enjoy the storyline. I was continually waiting on the story to start or relate the previous book but eventually I gave up.
