Incredibly dense and painful. I read and put down. Aware of my Blackness as never before. I can't imagine the author doing the research for this project and sifting through all this darkness to bring these dark jewels to light!

It's a tough but rewarding read. I found it much easier going after I read the excerpt from the NY Times magazine section. That sort of gave me a guide for where we were going. Let me know if you want that article.
