She's joined the BPP and is working on the paper, in proximity to the big names -- Huey, Eldridge, Bobby, etc. Very attuned to her thoughts and feelings.

This is chock full of atmosphere and places I've been. Narrator's first apartment was probably quite near where I lived in South Berkeley. Also, chapter 10 gets an "A" for great realistic scene of terribly awkward first time... :-(
