I LOVE Goodreads too, but like most things , it has it's issues. Does that mean I want it to go away---DEFINITELY NOT!!! But improvements can always be made for most anything. I know NOTHING about author bullying, but since Amazon owns Goodreads, I would assume that the liability issues are very similar. As to pre publishing reviews on Goosreads----we'll, that is one of my favorite parts. It allows ME -with my own intelligence---to sift through all the reviews and decide what makes sense to me. But, my one issue here is this---ever since Amazon had taken over Goodreads, when deciding to purchase a book here, if sometimes says the book is NO AVAILABLE on B&N, but if you go directly to the B&N site through some other means---I.e. Google---you'll find that the book is indeed available from B&N. since so many books are now cheaper at Amazon now anyway, I don't see why this needs to happen, when it did NOT happen before the Amazon takeover!! So loving this site---and I do love it----remember that all good things can have "issues", and fixing those issues will make a great site even BETTER!!!!

I like Goodreads a lot and get a lot out of it, seeing what other people read and discovering books I may have never found! It's fun to see what other authors are reading and making friends, too. Like any social site, ignore the idiots, don't friend them. I would hat to see it go, I enjoy it.
