As my husband is a descendent of George Washington's lineage... I started collecting old cookbooks as it was the only item that truly gives insight into women's lives in the past. I have Martha Washington's Cookbook that she passed onto her granddaughter. Truly fascinating! They really had a sweet tooth! I am truly enjoying all of the various desserts and history contained in this AWESOME cookbook!! Truly unique!
