The fact that NOTHING of note ever happens in a Hardy never is strangely comfortable. People led such simple Ives. Love triangles were the only bit of spice. Interminable descriptions of weather and nature flesh out the skimpy plots. As I have already said elsewhere ; 100% comfort reading, necessary for my mental health in our fast paced troubling times.
