An interesting read so far, and I have surprised myself by not being completely lost. Chatterton has, I believe, found a good way of explaining a complex topic to a layman like me, without tossing the relevant terminology to the wind. My only complaint, such as it is, is that the word 'lock' and its derivatives have been used so many times that it is has lost all earthly meaning.
