For such a short book, it took forever to read. Hard to get into the story... frequently fell asleep after reading 1-2 pages. My interest picked up half way thru the book during the "dime fight", but it was painfully slow getting there. Maybe that's how traveling by horse and wagon was back in the day... Nothing, nothing, boring, nothing, until bam! Conflict. Book club discussion should be good.
