The hero is, basically, a walking erection. This is how we know there's chemistry. Or something. My patience is almost dried up with this one.

Weird simile time! Like this: "Excited by the very man who wanted to bring her back for money, like a whore." Uhm, no. That's not how bounty collection or, uh, whoring work. Also no for other reasons.

Finding the writing really clunky. There's zero chemistry betwixt the hero & heroine, but there has been a for-no-reason-whatsoever kiss, so I guess I'm just supposed to buy into it. For me, it's all tell, no show so far.

Already had contradictory behavior from the hero. Bad writing? Bad editing? Both? Either way, it's put me on notice for potential badness. Hope to be proven wrong.
