It has been a hot minute since I read this book. It was a favorite of mine when I was in high school, but it has not aged well. I was fuzzy on the details since it had been about 15 years since I last read it, but now that I'm in it again.Oh the ableism! I completely forgot about her daughter being deaf & how the MC was convinced that her daughter's only chance @ a meaningful life was with a cochlear implant. Yikes.
