A recent acquaintance mentioned this book, so I picked it up.
On the second page, the phrase 'Herodotus wine-dark sea' is referenced. Now, this if from Homer's Odyssey. I keep reading, but the text is tainted. It gets better, but, this will sit in the back of my mind as the standard I will use while reading the rest of the book. Or did Herodotus copy Homer as a homage, so I could be wrong. I can't recall reading it
