The tone is quite funny, in first person from Elizabeth's point of view. She makes humorous remarks throughout the book in a way that reminds of Bridget Jones, though I think it is also a bit sad, especially about 30%, I wanted to laugh but also cry for the way Mr D treats Lizzy. IMO can't feel the "sexy" part until like 70% of the story. I would like more chemistry as well...
